The story
I saw a paperboy still delivering papers when I drew this. He reminded me of a different time: a time of innocence and hustle, for those who wanted to make an honest living but wanted more than the status quo. The paperboy wasn't focused on whether the news was true, but on whether it caught the eye of a buyer. He was a businessman. And he learned something important: just because you know the truth doesn't mean everyone is ready to hear it. He saw people holding onto fantasies and called it hope. The paperboy was America's first entrepreneur.
